Having nothing to offer Krishna than a pouch of Poha (beaten rice), Sudama presented the bag with utter shame. However, Krishna whole-heartedly accepted his gift and relished having it. Sudama could no longer ask for anything else and returned home empty-handed. On his return, Sudama found his hut transformed into a royal palace and his family standing in royal clothes. He then realized that it was a boon given by Lord Krishna who gave Sudama more than what he had asked for.
